Babies Are Amazing

Sophia is 4 months old and already enjoying tactile learning. Every little thing she grasps in her little hands amazes her, little baby toys, safe household items like small containers to her Aunt Jenna and Aunt Paige’s hair. She takes delight in them all. We made musical instruments out of junk this morning and the sounds made her so happy!

Due to the fact that I clearly have a book buying problem, once in a while I donate a stack to our county library. You know, to make room for more!

Only for my books though, I could not ever get rid of any of the children’s books, they’re extra special!

Citrus Lane

You know the feeling…when you get totally excited about unique products for your kids and grandkids! Citrus Lane is just the place to find them!

A month ago I found plates for Jenna at Walmart that were made from recycled milk jugs. Citrus Lane has many baby and kid products and toys that are also made from recycled milk jugs. As well as other educational and non mainstream products.

I’m so excited to get our first subscription goody box as well as a pretty pink dump truck…for Jenna, of course! 🙂

Books are Beautiful…Reading is Spectacular!

It’s articles like this that reminds me of how dedicated my parents were in making sure I loved books and that I had every possibility of becoming an early reader. They read to me every night beginning when I was a baby through my elementary years.

I knew when I had children we would be surrounded by books! Here are some favorites…

We fell in love with Biscuit during Paige’s Kindergarten year.

Cody loved Clifford and My First Little House Series. Paige was a Pigeon fan! Jenna enjoys these books. The American Girl book, Danger at the Zoo is one of my favorites. I enjoy these books as much as the kids do.

If you ask a child if he or she likes school or wants to count or sing their ABC’s and they reply with a yes, there’s a good chance they’ve been raised in a home surrounded by books and the sound of reading. It’s never too early to start, read to those babies as soon as they are born and never quit. You won’t regret it!
