Always on a quest for the perfect biscuit recipe, thanks to left over heavy cream from Thanksgiving I’ve got it!
*I never write anything down during recipe experiments so I’m not sure how much whole milk I added. Just add a 1/4 cup at a time until the dough is wet and sticky but still very thick.
2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup shortening
1/2 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups heavy cream
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt, cut in shortening, add cream and milk. Spoon into a greased muffin pan and bake at 350-375(ovens vary)until slightly golden. Mine took 30 minutes because I started out at 325.
