Yesterday was National Pancake Day! So, in my true, gracefulness I made pancakes a day late, 😉 Truth is, I didn’t know about NPD till yesterday afternoon. Then I began thinking up a recipe. Usually, I make the recipe from my Betty Crocker Checkerboard cookbook but there was Bisquick in the cabinet.
1- 21 oz. can Wilderness Apple Pie Filling
1 large egg
1/2 cup whole milk
1 cup Bisquick
Butter or Margarine
Betty Crocker Vanilla Cake Frosting
Mix ingredients, sizzle some butter or margarine on medium heat(repeat this step every time new batter is placed on the griddle or pan), each pancake should be one ladle full only and a long metal spatula is the best tool to use to flip. Flatten out batter with the ladle, Bisquick tends to poof which could result in underdoneness if you skip this step. You will be going back and forth between medium and low heat a lot, these take much longer than regular pancakes…but they are worth it!
Top with the frosting, indulge!!!
